      The ON3P Stuff:
      In what will be his first pro-model of many, Karl Fostvedt looked to design his signature jib skis in what would become the redesign of one of our original models and best-selling skis, the Jeronimo. In its place, the Kartel Series was born by splitting the DNA of its predecessor into two skis focused on park domination, crushing natural features all over the mountain, and dropping the hammer on the biggest backcountry booters.
      Our Elliptical Sidecut and Elliptical Rocker Profile create a playful ride that gives back as much as you put in, while the progressive mount maintains the float in soft snow and stability at speed needed to kill it all over the mountain.
      For those wanting a wider park ski, the Kartel 98 offers a low swing weight, tight turn radius, and medium flex designed for optimal park performance.
      For those looking for a more stable yet playful all-mountain ride, the Kartel 106 offers a wider platform designed as the ultimate do-everything jib ski. Whether it is hitting the biggest backcountry booters, charging down a face on your next powder day, or ripping groomers on perfect corduroy, the Kartel 106 is designed to thrive in whatever condition you can throw at it.
      My Thoughts:
      The Kartel 98 is for the park rider who likes to rip some groomers every now and then, or just prefers a wider platform. These skis crush everything from rails to jumps to fresh groomed to tight trees. Wide enough to handle some fresh snow in the morning but narrow enough to spin off rails in the afternoon. The flex is a medium-stiff flex, meaning it will be stable on even the biggest of landings, but the rocker gives it a playful and forgiving feeling as well, so you get the best of both worlds. A full 100% bamboo core keeps the skis snappy and responsive while still maintaining dampness. Super thick bases (1.8mm) and edges (2.5mmx2.5mm) keep the skis lasting a long time no matter what you're doing, skiing on rails or rocks, they'll hold up better than the average ski. All in all, Karl and ON3P have put together and amazing ski that everyone will love.

      This year I decided to go big and get the Kartel 98's and I'm so happy I did. So far I've only skied them a couple times but they are really living up to my expectations. They are definitely more park than pow, but can be taken all over the mountain on any day. They absolutely shred groomers and make natural jibs a blast. I could talk about the durability but I'm sure you all know ON3P, so you know they are bombproof. I'm 5'9' 140lbs and ski the 181 and I have no complaints about the stability or weight. They chatter a tiny bit at high speeds but that's a characteristic of any rockered ski really. They are a beefy ski, and heavy in that aspect but the swing weight is surprisingly low. Being a small guy I can really throw these things around which is awesome. I haven't broken these in yet but they are somewhere in the middle in terms of flex. With this being said, the rocker makes it seem like they are a little more flexible than you would think, and makes buttering easier. I haven't gotten a chance to hit jumps yet but on rails these things are rock solid. Poppy for a rockered park ski, stable on landings, flexible when needed to be. These things kill it all around the mountain. You can't go wrong with them.

      This ski is a solid all around ski it is the bees knees in the park with the 98 underfoot and can also rip on the groomers and in the trees. I would recommend this ski to almost every body its not a one trick pony and preforms with every thing you throw at it. A+ ON3P
